I came in and ordered one of their platters which came with sausage, BBQ, salad, and a drink. It's enough to fill you up and welcome you to the great state of Texas. I love this place.

Driftwood is the original and it's quality shows. Round Rock is also good, but perhaps a little dip in the quality but always a pleasure. The family style dinner is expensive but how can one not do it?
Roberts and Hisako built the Salt Lick restaurant on the ranch where he was born, using locally quarried limestone. Hisako's Hawaiian heritage inspired the sweet barbecue sauce used in the restaurant. The Salt Lick's primary cuisine is beef brisketsausage, and pork ribs.
And when we pull up to the gravel parking lot, we can barely stop ourselves from sprinting to the building. The Salt Lick is very easily in the conversation of the best BBQ in the state, and any order here will be a good one. Just make sure you have the foundation of some brisket and some sausage on your plate, and the rest is up to you.
The BBQ is good. Come early because the wait can get long. Live entertainment on most evenings.
Sally was our server and was wonderful. Communication is important here! First time at the Driftwood location I was glutened.
We want you to enjoy the same warm atmosphere and delicious barbecue they savored around the campfire. Book your The Salt Lick reservation on Resy. For your smaller events, we have several Private Dining Rooms available.
